Hi, I'm Alessandra Impalli, designer and founder of this project, born from the ambition to unite design and sustainability. I named it after myself because I wanted it to fully express the changes I've made and the relentless pursuit of research that has brought me to this point.

Let me introduce myself if you don't know me yet. I'm a fashion designer who, after working in Milan in the fashion world as a stylist, salesperson, model, dressmaker, seamstress, milliner, and costume designer for theater, music, and film, and after landing on TV almost by chance and landing my own show on Discovery Real Time, decided it was time to do something I felt was even more meaningful.

Over the years, as I grew professionally, I became increasingly aware of how much fashion impacted the planet. The birth of my daughter and the decision to go vegan made me realize that I wanted and could do something more; I wanted to make a difference.

I thought of a way to make my work a manifesto of my vision of life, and my collections not just clothes, but something more, which conveyed that at the basis of everything there must be respect, towards the planet and all its inhabitants, human and otherwise.

I'm the first to take to the streets to protest, to talk about the climate emergency, to demand human and animal rights—issues that are too often silenced in the fashion industry. For these reasons, I've decided to take a stand through my work, and make it my banner.

This is how this project was born.

Philosophy

SUSTAINABILITY

I use fabrics that come from surplus textile industry waste, so that each product can have the least possible impact on the environment.

VEGAN

All pieces are created without the use of wool, silk, leather, fur, or feathers, to make you more stylish while respecting animals and the planet. ALESSANDRA IMPALLI uses no materials of animal origin and has been awarded VVV+, the highest level of the ANIMAL FREE FASHION ethical rating created by LAV.

MADE IN ITALY

Each piece is designed, cut, and sewn in Italy, in limited editions, with the care and attention of craftsmanship, a love for one's work. Every piece is made with love.

ETHICAL

I collaborate with projects that address social inclusion and integration through tailoring, to give added value to fashion, transforming it from "futile" to "useful."
